Things have started to move. I am seeing more "pending" listings. It's been particularly busy with smaller homes in waterfront communities. People seem to be looking for bargains that do not go over a certain price range. There are a few buyers for retirement homes, but for the most part it seems to be the buyer that is looking for value in a waterfront community or that special opportunity on an ideal waterfront property. I am starting to show some waterfront properties. There is still a lot on the inventory for sale, and if you want your home to sell, it has to be a great value. Buyers are wanting a house that is in good condition, reasonably priced. They are not wanting to go in and do the work that it takes to make it special unless it is investment property. Financing continues to not be an easy task so, buyers, try to have all your ducks in a row when you start the process of looking for that special place. Interest rates are very low.
It is definitely still a buyers market and for people who have the extra cash it would be a great time to purchase that waterfront you have been wanting. With interest rates being low as they have ever been, it would be a great time to invest in waterfront. Let me be of help in finding you a great waterfront property.
